I want to make a calendar, not using an online service. Could I just buy the pages and print them myself from my computer?

There are some kits for this, but thye're getting harder to find. They are more expensive than using a service like Fedex/Kinkos, because the kits themselves run $15-20 (for just the photo paper and binding) which doesn't include your ink costs. I still have a few that I bought last year.

    ** Update**

I've used the "Avery Inkjet Calendar Kit" and "Invent It! Photo Calendar Kit", here are similar ones:

    Try http://www.spectrumsoftware.com

I've used their kits to make wall calendars for Christmas gifts. You can even put a person's picture on their birthday or a picture of your mom on the date for Mother's Day.

I see that there is a pretty good selection of calendar kits at the eBay store below. You might find what you are looking for there.
